Merry Christmas! God has alrady given you so many gifts, but you should always remember the most precious. For God so loved the world… Remember? And, you know, the cross is made of wood, so it’s a tree… and Jesus hung on it? (Yeah, I know you already got the joke. I put this explanation in here for the other people.)
I know that’s a littly punny. Or punishing. Hey, we punished Jesus, right? Is that a pun within a pun-disclaimer? Oh, I slay me! No pun intended…
Jesus died for you. Yeah, I know it wasn’t on Christmas, but the idea of hanging things on trees before Easter just doesn’t have the same ring, does it? I guess it is possible to overanalyze these things.
