I thought this was really clever, but I’ve seen it elsewhere online now. But it’s useful anyway. In the south we have a lot of holier-than-thou’s who look down on people whose faith is somehow different than their own. I really like this sign because it’s putting those people in their places. And it did it in public on a busy highway. Sweetness.

Get in this church!
I think this is the classic church sign. I think it’s the first stab at humor I remember seeing long ago. Most of the churches on my street (there were 9) didn’t employ Godvertising when I was a kid. But there was a newer church on the main highway that did. Boy, the first time I saw this one I laughed out loud. It wasn’t so funny the 2nd or 3rd time. After a dozen more times, well, it just looked sad.
But it’s de rigeur, so here it is. I’m glad I found one after all these years.

I’ve seen this one in various flavors. It probably doesn’t make much sense to those of you in California where they banned this question from restaurants years ago. Oh, how I yearn for the smoke-free climes of the west coast.
I wonder if this translates to foreign cultures at all? Anyway, it sure makes you think. Sort of like a slap in the face that you don’t feel right away.
