If you let the devil ride with you, he will want to drive

Can you imagine riding around in a car with Satan. He’s got his dirty feet propped up on the dash, he’s throwing trash out the windows, smoking up the place and telling you to go faster. Sooner or later he’s going to grab that steering wheel and take over. You know he is!

What wonderful imagery is contained in this sign! And it’s a fine warning too. In our daily lives we know that if we associate with bad characters or we choose to flirt with sin, it will likely take us over and we’ll never be able to rise above it. We’ve all seen it happen to others. Can we take the chance it will happen to us? This sign reminds that it will happen, if you let it.

Joy is peace dancing. Peace is joy resting.

I love this sign. People who are the most faithful seem always to be the most peaceful. To think that pure joy comes from that sense of peace doing a boogie just tickles me.

And to know that the joy of true faith is always dancing, and when it rests it leaves us with that complete sense of peace.

Get Out of Hell Free!

Gosh! Is this Godvertising or not? I think it’s mostly a non-religious chuckle in our workaday lives. I carry these with me everywhere to give out to people when they’re having a bad day. I don’t run into that many people having a rough day, I guess. Randy Cassingham gives these out a lot. You can even buy them from him for pretty cheap, and read the story of their background while you’re at it at www.goohf.com. (I recommend the luggage tags if you travel. They’re indestructible and they make it super-easy to identify your bags on the carrousel.)

Come to think of it, maybe I do see enough people who need a little chuckle. I ran out of cards last week. I guess it’s time to order some more. Maybe I’ll start start leaving them on church signs that I add to the site. On the back I’ll write “Your sign is featured on www.Godvertising.com” or somesuch. That’d be a riot!

Hey, what if I gave away some GOOHF cards every time someone submitted a photo for me to use? That would be nice. A little payback to everyone who helps make Godvertising.com successful.
