Ghandi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” This means that change begins with an individual, and it should begin with you.
Likewise, children will do as you do, not as you say. So be the change you wish to see in your children. Be the person you want them to be. They will only disappoint you so much as you fail in this.

They took this sign down before I could get a picture of it, but I wanted to include it here anyway because I liked it so much. It’s a good “get ‘em in the church” joke, admonishing passers-by to come to this church and try it out, and reminding non-attending members that they really should be coming more often.
And it reminds people of ice cream; everybody likes ice cream!
Life offers many choices; death only two
Snarky and sarcastic. This sign is a combination of funny and fear. It aims to get people into the church by appealing to their fear of death (and the afterlife). But believers (and church members) will just find it to be funny… and maybe a little affirming.
Cause we can all use affirmation, right?
