God speaks to us every day, but sadly, often we do not listen
How impressive is that? When our faith is shaken we often look for some sort of sign that God is there, that He is listening. And when we do not find His message, is it because He does not send it? God’s Word will not fall
This one is hilarious. This sign is a cheap, wooden sign near a big highway. We had a huge storm this week with lots of wind damage. This sign was a victim of the wind. You can see the bottom of the sign in its original position and some of the splinters of wood lying about.
The next day, these words were on the sign. According to the preacher, this sign was saved by God.
More important, though, is the message that God’s Word is eternal. It is unchanging and unerring, and It will not fall. God tells only the Truth, and the Truth, brothers and sisters, is eternal!
Marquee bonus: It’s a broken sign!

Burma Shave! Maybe the internet is too young to remember Burma Shave advertisements, but I remember hearing about them. They pioneered this form of road-side sign where the entire ad is spread over several signs. I guess this one just took me back to my childhood.

We are overdressed if wrapped up in ourselves
The church reminds us that we are not here for us… we are here to serve God. If we are wrapped up in ourselves then we are distracting ourselves from God’s work. Well, I suppose it loses much in the poetic translation. I like the version on this sign better than I can explain it.
