God asks for progress, not perfection
God asks for progress, not perfection
Perfectionists (like me) have trouble completing things because we know “it’s never good enough anyway, so why go on?” We struggle to see past our problem and aim towards completion anyway. God appreciates the effort more than the end result. This sign couches that sentiment in the words every perfectionist can appreciate: “Make progress” is more important than “Be God-like”. After all, nobody’s perfect, right?
I wonder if Attention Deficit Disorder is really a perfectionist’s problem…?
Marquee bonus: I love that the word “perfection” has an upside-down N. On another church I would think it was done on purpose, but this one is always making this kind of mistake.
