Support Our Troops — Jesus Fish!
My son pointed this out to me last week when we were behind a minivan with the “Support Our Troops” ribbons on sideways. He said, “Fish!” And I looked, and behold, there were fish on the back of the van. They look just like the Jesus Fish when turned sideways.
Cars have them turned sideways more often because of limited vertical trunk space, but I’ve seen them sideways on vans and trucks, too. I wonder if this is intentional on the part of the originator of these things. It sure is a powerful subliminal message.
Update: I found another “ribbon” which is deliberately fish-shaped. At least I’m not the only one seeing ribbon-fish everywhere!
